Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Technologies, Decarbonization Incentives
Campus Consortium for Decarbonization Presentation
Presentation
Course Description
This presentation was part of a New Jersey Campus Consortium for Decarbonization event held on January 17, 2024. It introduces CHP Technologies and their impacts on decarbonization, together with several campus-focused studies. It also introduces a new CHP feasibility study incentive program. in New Jersey. The program is designed to increase and expand distributed energy resources by providing incentives towards the cost of developing Feasibility Studies for CHP systems and fuel cells. Recorded January 17, 2024.

Learning Objectives:
- Describe a range of CHP technologies and their impacts on Decarbonization.
- Describe the New Jersey Clean Energy’s Combined Heat & Power feasibility study incentive program.
- Explain what combined heat and power is, including its uses and benefits for reliability and sustainability, and how fuel cells operate to produce electricity.
- Describe combined heat and power/fuel cell projects in New Jersey and discuss lessons learned.
